Sally Anderson is the Principal Investigator for What’s the BIG Idea? As Executive Director of the Vermont Center for the Book, she has overseen the creation of all the Mother Goose Programs family programs and early childhood educator courses, as well as programming for elementary schools and adults. Sally serves on a variety of Vermont and national committees and panels involved in the creation and implementation of standards and programming for professionals working with children in community and school settings.

Greg DeFrancis is the Co-Principal Investigator for What’s the BIG Idea? Greg is the Director of Education at the Montshire Museum of Science in Norwich, Vermont. He is involved in extensive teacher education programs as well as summer institutes for students. Greg has been involved in creating programming for and conducting training in two prior VCB-created programs: Mother Goose Asks “Why?” for families of children 3-7 and Mother Goose Cares About Math and Science, a college-level course for early childhood educators.

Wendy Martin is the Program Manager for What’s the BIG Idea? As Communications Director of Vermont Center for the Book, she is in charge of the organization’s publications and web site. Wendy has overseen the creation and publication of a variety of family program guides, course curricula and other program materials. She has organized and managed numerous national conferences.

Joan Nagy is the Associate Director of Vermont Center for the Book,. She is assisting in the creation of the project content and conference management and is the liaison with the project’s National Advisory Panel. Joan’s principal function is that of grant writer and organizational development. Her background is in law and non-profit administration.

Robert Anderson is a content specialist and trainer for What’s the BIG Idea? His expertise comes from many years teaching science in a variety of grades in the public schools. He was involved in the creation of content for and training in Mother Goose Cares About Math and Science.

Meredith Wade is a content specialist and trainer for What’s the BIG Idea? She is co-Director of Synergy Learning, Inc. She is an experienced elementary educator. She was part of the original development team for Mother Goose Asks “Why?", facilitating parent programs, teaching at several national conferences, and observing and interviewing discussion leaders during the course of that project.
